For over 50 years, The Effort, Inc. has been dedicated to supporting and strengthening underserved families in the Sacramento area and surrounding communities. The Effort provides a number of quality health-related services including family health centers, dental centers for children, mental health counseling services, crisis intervention and suicide prevention counseling, pregnancy medical attention and childbirth support; home visitation and support for families experiencing interaction with CPS and drug and alcohol addiction programs.
We are happy to have over 100 volunteers to help our paid staff see to the needs of the community we serve and welcome you to apply for either paid or volunteer positions.
